Ontario Automobile Insurance Reform
Beginning on September 01, 2010, new Ontario automobile insurance reform laws will be introduced that will impact Ontario drivers, their families, and co-workers. The Ontario Government has changed basic Accident Benefits coverage in order to stabilize auto insurance rates, which have been climbing in the last couple of years. Renewal premiums after September 01st, 2010 will still include rate increases made by Ontario insurers in the last 12 months, but should stabilize, once the coverage reforms take hold.
Ross Insurance Group is committed to keeping you informed of any changes that may impact your insurance policy. There are a number of options that policyholders must consider before their policy renews, as significant coverage has been taken away from the Accident Benefits section of the Ontario auto insurance policy.
It is important to consult with your disability insurance advisor to review the protection afforded by your current disability policy, and to determine if additional coverage is required under your auto insurance policy. It is also important that you understand the terminology so that your decision is informed, and appropriate for your life circumstances.
The attached checklist of coverages outlines the options available, and will direct our insurers to tailor coverage to an individual's needs.
